CJASN – The Mobile Health Readiness of People Receiving In-Center Hemodialysis and Home Dialysis
A study of nearly 1,000 patients examined the status and correlates of mobile health readiness among individuals on dialysis. The study found 81 percent of respondents owned smartphones or other internet-capable devices, and 70 percent reported intermediate or advanced mobile health proficiency. The results suggest that patients were adequately ready and able to receive home dialysis facilitated through mobile technology.
