Moving Health Home (MHH) joined more than 200 health care organizations, including over 30 major health systems and 50 national patient and provider organizations, on a stakeholder letter to CMS Administrator Oz urging the agency not to finalize its proposed remote physiologic monitoring and remote therapeutic monitoring policies in the CY 2027 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule proposed rule. The letter warns the proposal would disrupt care for more than 1 million Medicare beneficiaries who rely on remote monitoring to manage chronic conditions, with the greatest impact on small practices, rural providers, and safety-net organizations. Signers urged CMS to delay the policies and work with stakeholders on a balanced approach that protects patients, preserves clinically integrated care, and addresses program integrity through proportionate, evidence-based guardrails.
